India’s First Military Grade Spy Satellite Ready for Launch on SpaceX Rocket

New Delhi: India’s first military grade spy satellite, manufactured by the domestic private sector, is all set for launch on a SpaceX rocket. The satellite has been developed by Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) and is expected to be launched from Florida by April. This landmark achievement is significant as the ground control of the satellite will remain in India, ensuring the secrecy of vital coordinates that need to be monitored by the armed forces. In the past, India had to rely on foreign vendors and share crucial information with them. However, with this indigenous development, India will have complete control over its satellite assets.
