The Alabama School of Cyber Technology & Engineering in Huntsville’s Cummings Research Park has announced plans to build a state-of-the-art student activities center. The center will feature a 1,100-seat gymnasium, basketball and volleyball courts, a wrestling room, locker rooms, multifunctional office spaces, a band room, archery practice areas, a mezzanine, and a concessions area.

The Scholars Bowl team ranked second in the United States last year, the tennis team achieved a second-place ranking in the state, and the swimming team secured several individual first-place wins at the state level. The archery team qualified for nationals, the track and field team earned a spot in the state meet, and the ASCTE Theatre received Best in Show in state competition. The academic prowess of the school is also highlighted, as it is ranked in the top 1% nationally for all high schools.
