Exploring China's XR Ecosystem: A Journey Through Key Cities

Overview of the Trip

From August 29th to September 23rd, I will be traveling across China, visiting prominent cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Qingdao, and Beijing. This journey will blend leisure, networking, and remote work. I will meet friends, enjoy delicious Asian cuisine, and visit notable Chinese companies. Notably, this will be my first experience celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival in China, renowned for its delicious mooncakes.

Purpose and Networking

The primary aim of this trip is to gain insights into the Chinese XR ecosystem. I am eager to connect with interesting XR companies and professionals. If you're in China and want to meet or can introduce me to an innovative XR company, please let me know. Time is limited in each city, but I will do my best to connect with as many people as possible.

Key Meetings and Visits

In Hangzhou, I am especially excited to meet with Nikk Mitchell and the team at FXG. This visit is dedicated to exploring their amazing projects. If I encounter any unexpected adventures, you’ll know who to blame!

Missing Pico's Launch Event

Unfortunately, I will miss Pico's product launch in China on August 20th by a few days. However, I intend to gather fresh insights about their new offerings when I visit Beijing and Qingdao.

Evaluating China's XR Ecosystem

This trip offers an excellent opportunity to evaluate the current status of the Chinese XR ecosystem. I plan to share my findings and insights through this blog, so stay tuned for updates.

Conclusion

I am thrilled about this upcoming adventure in China and look forward to connecting with you. If you're in any of these cities during my visit, let's meet up. 在中国见 (See you in China)!
