Musk announced on Twitter his plans to create an "old school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant" at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in Los Angeles. Tesla later secured the rights to the restaurant category with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. While the company initially intended to build the diner in Santa Monica, it eventually relocated the project to its current site in East Hollywood.
