Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang believes that every country should have control over its own AI infrastructure in order to protect its culture and intelligence, according to Reuters. Huang introduced the concept of “Sovereign AI,” which refers to individual countries owning “the production of their own intelligence,” as defined in an Nvidia blog post. He made these comments during a discussion with UAE’s Minister of AI, Omar Al Olama, at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, an annual event that brings together thousands of delegates from around the world. Huang emphasized the importance of preserving a country’s culture, history, and common sense by owning its own data.
