NASA STAR – Spaceflight Technology Applications and Research – Accepting Applications for Biology Experiments in Space
Status Report – NASA – June 24, 2024
Are you a researcher curious about taking your biology experiment into space? The STAR program is now accepting applications until June 28 for the next group of space biology researchers.
What is STAR?
Spaceflight Technology, Applications, and Research (STAR) is a virtual NASA training program focused on space biosciences. This annual course is designed for Principal Investigators (PIs), senior research scientists, and post-doctoral scholars. It aims to help them start their journey in space biology and prepare for spaceflight experiments using NASA and commercial platforms.
Course Details
The STAR program covers fundamental and practical aspects of space biology, including:
- Technical and logistical considerations for space experiments
- Opportunities and unique advantages of conducting experiments in space
- Limitations you may face when working in space
Participants will get to interact with veteran PIs, developers of spaceflight technology, and flight providers.
Recent Space Biology Projects
The program includes examples of past space biology flight projects to illustrate practical applications and successes.
Make your mark in space biology! Apply to the STAR program by June 28 and take the next step in your research career with NASA.
