At its Meta Connect developer conference, Meta revealed Hyperscape, a new technology enabling the creation of photorealistic virtual environments from real-world spaces. First demonstrated last year, Hyperscape Capture is now available in Early Access for Quest 3 and Quest 3S users aged 18 and above.

The process allows users to scan a physical room within minutes using their Quest device. Horizon TV, Meta’s VR streaming app, is expanding content offerings with support for Disney+, ESPN, Hulu, and immersive movie experiences through partnerships with Universal Pictures and Blumhouse, featuring films like “M3GAN” and “The Black Phone.” A limited-time 3D clip of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” will also be available.
