The Future of the Nintendo Switch: No “Switch 2” in Sight
As we enter a new year, many Nintendo fans eagerly await news about the next iteration of the popular Switch console. However, it seems that their anticipation may be in vain as my predictions suggest that there won’t be a “Switch 2” in 2024. The original Switch continues to sell exceptionally well, even surpassing the sales of the ill-fated Wii U. Nintendo would be wise to ride this success and not risk alienating their loyal fanbase by launching a new console. If we do see a new system this year, it’s more likely to be an upgraded version that complements rather than replaces the original Switch.
