How does the Plowz & Mowz app work?
After downloading the Plowz & Mowz app, to schedule a snow removal service, you must enter your address, driveway size, and the depth of snow you need removed. Then, the app’s algorithm calculates the price of your service, Plowz & Mowz co-founder Wills Mahoney explained. Service costs are based on “the amount of snowfall, the size of the driveway, and a couple of other factors,” Mahoney said. In Milwaukee, the average snow removal price is normally around $55, he added. Currently, Plowz & Mowz only serves residential properties. In addition to snow removal, you can elect to add additional features. Plowz & Mowz offers salting, snow blowing, and pathway shoveling services. In some areas, the company even offers a “white glove service,” where professionals clear snow off of cars parked outside. “During the whole process, the customer is given updates, so you’ll get ETA and things like that,” Mahoney said. “And when the job is completed, you’ll get pictures of the completed job. So, people can be out of town and place an order and know that their driveway is clear.” Mahoney recommends people schedule their service in advance. “A lot of people like to wait until the last snowflake falls… but we always recommend, if you know there’s going to be a lot of snow the next day, to place the order before you go to bed,” he suggested.
