Stakeholders in India's gaming sector hope the interim budget will provide strategic measures to boost the industry, including tax incentives and infrastructure development. The focus, however, is on ensuring the seamless continuation of ongoing projects until the new government takes over. The industry also anticipates incentives for game development studios and a lower goods and services tax rate. The Indian gaming industry achieved a turnover of $3.1 billion in fiscal 2023, with projected growth to $7.5 billion by fiscal 2028.
