Rapper King on Artificial Intelligence in Music: "Every Person Is Replaceable"
Rapper King recently opened up about the rising influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential impact on the creative industry, specifically on artistes. Highlighting his unique perspective, King emphasized that he does not see AI as a threat. "I don’t look at AI as the problem. I feel every person is replaceable, so one doesn’t have to fear getting replaced by technology," he shared. This sentiment comes in the wake of Hollywood actor Scarlett Johansson's reaction to the updated version of ChatGPT mimicking her voice, which was expressed as ‘shock, anger and disbelief’.

King further elaborated that he does not fear the unpredictability that comes with his profession. “Agar darr hota toh main musician banta hi nahin. I know there’s something unique about me that makes my music connect with the audience. So, I will continue to do my thing, my way, without any fear of getting replaced or forgotten,” stated the rapper, who is known for hits like Tu Jaana Na Piya and Maan Meri Jaan.
Documentary Prospects
In light of the increasing trend of producing documentaries on popular artistes, including musicians and sports personalities, King was asked if he would consider a documentary on his life. He modestly responded, “I don’t think I deserve a documentary or a movie. I feel I am too young for it. I am not that person who says that now that I am here, give me a Padma Bhushan, a Grammy, or make a documentary on me." King believes in self-assessment and realistic goals. He concluded by adding, “I need at least 10 more years to reach such a level. It’s not my goal to make people see my documentary or feel ki main kitna bada ho gaya hoon. I want people to feel like I am one of their own.”
