Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin Implements AI Education Guidelines and Policy Standards

Richmond, VA – In a bid to protect the individual data of all Virginians and safeguard the state’s databases, Governor Glenn Youngkin issued Executive Order 30 on Artificial Intelligence (AI) today, which introduces AI Education Guidelines for the classroom and AI Policy and Information Technology Standards. These measures combine strong protections for residents and businesses with recognition of the opportunities presented by AI innovation. As one of the first states in the country to implement AI standards, Virginia is leading the way in AI guidelines and pilots.
