According to Tinder, the first Sunday in January is the busiest day of the year for online dating. This Sunday, January 7, is expected to see a surge in activity on the app, with users editing their bios and adding photos at an astonishing rate. Tinder predicts that 519 bios will be edited and 2,263 photos will be added every minute. The number of messages sent on Tinder increases by 22% on ‘Dating Sunday’, users respond 19.4 minutes faster than on any other Sunday, and the number of ‘likes’ on the app increases by 18.2%. In total, there may be 58.7 million more likes and 11.4 million more messages sent on the app compared to the rest of the year.
