MacPaw Unveils CleanMyPhone to Optimize iPhone Storage Space

MacPaw has unveiled its latest creation, CleanMyPhone, an iPhone app designed to assist users in optimizing storage space by removing duplicate and unnecessary images. With the ability to identify sensitive photos and exclude them from scans, CleanMyPhone offers a similar level of utility as CleanMyMac, MacPaw’s renowned storage optimization app for Macs.

The new app is segmented into three key areas: declutter, organize, and network. In the declutter section, CleanMyPhone scans the user’s photo library for duplicates, screenshots, screen recordings, TikTok videos, app folders, and blurred pictures. Users can manually deselect certain images before initiating the cleanup process.

The organize function allows filtering images based on the time they were taken. CleanMyPhone categorizes photos into types like pets, travel, portraits, and food, recommending new folders for better organization. The app distinguishes between similar and unique photos, empowering users to make informed choices when deleting images.

CleanMyPhone’s network speed test enhances the app’s utility and parallels CleanMyMac’s features.

CleanMyPhone offers basic features for free, but advanced options require a subscription costing $24.99 annually. A one-time payment option is set to be introduced later this year.

MacPaw also operates Setapp, a subscription service for macOS and iOS applications. In response to Apple’s DMA rule adjustments, MacPaw plans to launch an alternate app store for iOS.

CleanMyPhone by MacPaw aims to help iPhone users declutter and organize photo libraries effectively while adapting to evolving user needs in the changing app store landscape.
