TikTok, the popular social media app, is facing legal troubles as the state of Iowa has filed a lawsuit against the company. Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird alleges that TikTok has been misleading parents about the presence of explicit and inappropriate content on its platform. The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday, accuses TikTok of making such content easily accessible to young users while maintaining an inaccurate “12+” age rating on the Apple App Store.
