Apple Pays $13.6 Million Fine to Russian Authorities
According to reports, Apple has paid a $13.6 million fine imposed by the Russian government over allegations of abusing its dominant market position in the in-app payments market. The fine was imposed by Russia’s federal anti-monopoly service (FAS) in July 2022, which accused Apple of banning apps that provide an option to make purchases outside of the official App Store.
