Apple and Google Remove Apps Following Government Order

Government orders removal of Airalo and Holafly eSIM apps in India

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) in India has issued orders for the removal of two eSIM apps, Airalo and Holafly, from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The move comes as part of the government’s efforts to combat cyber fraud in the country. In addition to removing the apps from their respective app stores, Google and Apple have also been instructed to block access to the websites of these apps by internet service providers and telecom companies in India.
