Nifty Surges 1.8% on the Back of Strong Sector Performance
The Nifty closed at 21352.6, recording a gain of 1.8% for the day. This surge was largely driven by the strong performance of the Nifty Midcap 50, which outperformed the Nifty 50, closing 2.29% higher. On the other hand, small-cap stocks underperformed, with the Nifty Small Cap 100 ending at 15409.4, up by 1.49%.
