Moderate Growth Predicted for South Korean Stock Market

The South Korea stock market heads south on Thursday, but may tick higher on Friday as the global forecast for Asian markets is positive. The KOSPI finished slightly lower on Thursday, with losses from technology stocks and automobile producers. The financials came in mixed. Wall Street ended just barely in the green as the major averages opened sharply higher on Thursday but faded as the day progressed. The Dow added 52.79 points or 0.15 percent, while the NASDAQ gained 15.97 points or 0.12 percent, and the S&P 500 perked 1.12 points or 0.03 percent.
