Oakland County’s Revitalization Efforts in Downtown Pontiac

Oakland County recently closed on the sale of two office buildings in downtown Pontiac, signaling a reinvestment in the area. The announcement was made during a press conference, where Dave Coulter, County Executive, emphasized the opportunity to reimagine this important office space. One of the buildings, which has been vacant since 2014, will eventually house 600 county employees. The project aims to bring more foot traffic to downtown Pontiac and eliminate an unsightly parking structure that has divided the area. With plans for a new parking deck, green spaces, and the allocation of funds, this revitalization project seeks to transform the heart of the city and spur economic growth.
