This initiative, which is part of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, has an initial funding of $72.5 million. The goal of the program is to electrify all homes in Indian Country with renewable energy sources and contribute to the administration’s objective of achieving a carbon-free electricity sector by 2035. This announcement coincides with the one-year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, the largest climate investment in U.S. history.
