Tanssi's Expansion to Ethereum

The Tanssi Foundation has made a significant move in the blockchain space by expanding its infrastructure protocol to integrate with Ethereum. This expansion allows for the rapid deployment of decentralized networks, referred to as Actively Validated Services (AVS), in just minutes. This is made possible through a strategic partnership with Symbiotic, a permissionless restaking protocol.

Access to Ethereum's Security Pool

By leveraging Symbiotic's restaking protocol, Tanssi-based networks can access Ethereum’s robust security pool, which is valued at around $45 billion from staked ETH. This shared security model provides a safe and scalable environment for developers to create decentralized applications.

Developer-Friendly Ecosystem

According to Felix Lutsch, Head of Ecosystem at Symbiotic, Tanssi offers developers a sophisticated and easy-to-use interface for blockchain development. The integration with Symbiotic allows projects to utilize Ethereum's liquidity and launch an appchain with restaking capabilities swiftly.

Understanding Restaking

Restaking involves using already staked digital assets in a new layer, which means the mainnet and the new infrastructure share the same validators. This approach helps projects enhance scalability by building solutions outside the mainnet, supporting decentralized applications, also known as AVS.

Customization and Decentralization

The collaboration with Symbiotic also brings the integration of Substrate's flexible SDK, allowing developers full customization. Tanssi's framework offers prebuilt templates and modules, enabling full decentralization without dependence on a single sequencer.

Financial Backing and Future Plans

Tanssi has secured $9 million from investors including Arrington Capital, SNZ, HashKey, Borderless, and Fenbushi. With over 2,000 application-specific blockchains already deployed on its testnet, Tanssi is poised to set a new standard within the Ethereum ecosystem. The mainnet launch is anticipated for early 2025.
