This caution comes after a series of “suspicious deaths” occurred in the city of Medellin, where eight U.S. citizens lost their lives due to involuntary drug overdose or suspected homicides. While authorities do not believe these deaths are connected, some victims had been using dating apps before they were robbed, drugged, or killed.
