Lacoste, the renowned fashion brand, has recently announced the appointment of Philippe Gautier as their new executive vice president global finance. Gautier brings with him a wealth of experience in finance and operations within the fashion sector, making him an ideal fit for the role. He will be reporting directly to Lacoste’s CEO Thierry Guibert and will be taking over from Denis Lamoureux, who held the position since 2017.
Gautier’s impressive career includes notable positions at various companies. He previously served as the chief finance and operations officer at Waldencast, and before that, he held the role of group chief financial officer at Selecta for two years. Additionally, he worked as the group chief financial and operations officer at apparel group SMCP, where he successfully steered the company through significant international expansion and managed its initial public offering on Euronext Paris.
Notably, Gautier spent over a decade at the prominent Kering group, holding several key roles. He served as the brand CFO and group treasurer for Redcats, as well as the COO and CFO of Puma. Furthermore, he excelled as the CFO of Sergio Rossi until 2015.
Thierry Guibert expressed his confidence in Gautier, praising his extensive knowledge of the fashion and lifestyle sectors, his international experience, and his ability to drive major projects, particularly in areas such as supply chain and IT. Guibert, who is also the head of Lacoste’s parent company, MF Brands Group, commended Gautier for his competence and expertise.
Gautier, an alumnus of the prestigious French business school HEC, joins Lacoste at an exciting time for the brand. In 2023, the company marked its 90th anniversary, demonstrating its enduring impact on the fashion industry.
