Climate-tech startup Varaha secures $8.7M funding from RTP Global

Indian climate tech startup Varaha has raised $8.7m in funding to strengthen its technology and science function, expand its team, and enter new geographies. The company helps farmers reduce carbon emissions and supports corporations in offsetting their emissions through regenerative agriculture practices. Varaha plans to generate 1.2 million carbon credits by the end of FY25 and aims to expand to six new geographies while doubling its headcount. The funding round was led by RTP Global, with participation from Omnivore, Orios Venture Partners, and Norinchukin Bank.
