On Monday, Turkey's stock market concluded the trading session on a positive note, with the BIST 100 index gaining 0.76% in Istanbul. This increase was supported by strong performances in various sectors.

Top Performers

Leading the gains were:

  • Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS, which surged 9.97% or 17.00 points, closing at 187.50.
  • Agrotech Yüksek Teknoloji ve Yatırım AS rose by 7.17% or 1.18 points, ending at 17.63.
  • Mavi Giyim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS was up 6.77% or 7.10 points, finishing at 112.00 in late trade. This marked an all-time high for Mavi Giyim.

Worst Performers

However, not all stocks had a good day. The following were the biggest declines:

  • Aksa Enerji Üretim AS fell 7.15% or 3.44 points, trading at 44.70 at the close.
  • Konya Cimento Sanayi AS dropped 4.67% or 395.00 points, ending at 8,055.00.
  • Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS decreased by 3.32% or 1.18 points, finishing at 34.40.

Across the Istanbul Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered advanced stocks.

Commodities and Currency

Gold Futures for August delivery fell 0.94% or 22.05, ending at $2,327.05 a troy ounce. Conversely, Crude oil for August delivery increased by 1.10% or 0.86, reaching $78.91 a barrel. Similarly, the August Brent oil contract was up 0.99% or 0.82, finishing at $83.44 a barrel.

In currency markets:

  • USD/TRY rose 0.65% to 32.84.
  • EUR/TRY climbed 0.36% to 35.21.
  • The US Dollar Index Futures fell slightly by 0.06%, at 105.11.
