Why Hyderabad?
The decision to set up in Hyderabad stems from the city's reputation for having world-class talent in medicine, life sciences, and data sciences. The area's rapid advancements in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) have also played a crucial role in this decision. The site will be situated in HITEC City, a tech-centric suburb of Hyderabad, occupying six floors of the RMZ Spire Tower 110.
Operational Details
Set to be operational by the end of the year, the facility will accommodate up to 3,000 employees. This site signifies Amgen's commitment to leveraging the convergence of biotechnology and technology to accelerate innovation in medicine. As per David M. Reese, M.D., Amgen's executive vice president and chief technology officer, this milestone reflects over a decade of preparation to meet the needs of a rapidly aging global population.
