Expedia Group Hires Two Leaders to Run New Divisions

Seattle-based travel giant, Expedia Group, has appointed Alfonso Paredes and Greg Schulze to head its new operating divisions. Paredes, who has been with Expedia for 14 years, will serve as the president of Private Label Solutions. Schulze, an 18-year veteran of Expedia, will take on the role of president of Travel Partners and Media.

Ariane Gorin, the incoming CEO of Expedia, praised Paredes and Schulze for their extensive global experience and strong relationships with travel partners. Gorin expressed confidence that the two leaders would contribute to advancing the company’s mission and providing exceptional value to both partners and travelers.

In other news, Antoine Leblond, a former executive at Microsoft and Sonos, has joined the dating app company Bumble as chief technology officer. Bumble also made several other executive hires, including a new chief product officer, chief people officer, and chief marketing officer.

Libby Johnson McKee, a former Amazon leader, has been named the president and CEO of Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington. Evergreen Goodwill operates retail stores and donation centers across Washington state and employs over 2,000 people.

Seattle-based digital remittance company, Remitly, has brought on Bobby Wilkinson as vice president of global DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) and Darren Challey as vice president and chief information security officer.

Nate Milner, formerly of Amazon, has joined Alphabet’s drone subsidiary, Wing, as head of operations.

Amith Nair has been appointed as president and COO of Washington D.C.-based enterprise AI company, Clarifai. Nair joins Clarifai from Cohesity, where he served as senior vice president of marketing.

Brian McCloskey has joined Seattle data storage company, Qumulo, as senior vice president of North America Sales.
