Xbox Plans to Bring Call of Duty to Xbox Game Pass, Including Day One Releases
In a recent interview with Xbox head Phil Spencer, it has been confirmed that Xbox is still committed to bringing the popular Call of Duty franchise to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service. The plan is to make all Activision Blizzard games, including Call of Duty, available on Game Pass from day one.
Spencer stated, “Our intent is the full portfolio of games from ZeniMax, Activision Blizzard, and XGS—Xbox Game Studios—will be on Game Pass, day one.” This means that Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to accessing the entire catalogue of games from these studios without any delay.
Currently, there are no Call of Duty games available on Xbox Game Pass. However, the first Activision Blizzard game scheduled to arrive on the service is Diablo 4, which will be accessible to subscribers starting March 28.
While the next installment in the Call of Duty series has not been officially announced, it is expected to be set during the Gulf War and feature a more open-world campaign.
