Florida Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Intellectually Disabled Woman

Overwhelmed and frightened, the victim decided to sneak out and got into Sales Mendez’s car. They drove to a parking lot, where he forced her out of the car and instructed her to go behind the building, according to the warrant.
DNA Evidence Links Suspect to Assault, Bond Denied
After sexually assaulting the victim, Sales Mendez fled the scene, leaving her traumatized. The victim immediately called the police, and she was taken to a sexual assault treatment center for examination. Medical professionals found several injuries consistent with a sexual assault. Weeks later, on October 31, Sales Mendez was pulled over by the police, and they executed a search warrant for his phone and DNA.
